New Years Resolutions

When the clock strikes 12:00 a.m. on December 31 many of us know that from that moment on there will be no more excuses. It’s our time to realize all of those things we’ve put off for the past year. It’s pretty funny how the strike of a dial automatically changes our mind-frame, but as long as it does have that sort of effect on us, then we may as well take advantage of it. We know that each one of you has their own individual list for their New Year resolution, but we thought that it would be a good idea to share some of our ideas with you anyway.

Reach high: how about trying something out of your comfort zone? Don’t settle for something that you know you will do anyway. Keep it interesting, always.

Think healthy: make it a priority to take care of yourself, without a healthy body, everything comes to a sudden halt. Anyone can easily spare 20 minutes of their time for some sort of exercise. Make it a habit for once and for all like brushing your teeth or shampooing your hair.

No stress life: Easier said than done, we know, but this perhaps also belongs in resolution number two under think healthy. Stress and bad thoughts can make you sick, your body begins to break down. Take the time to relax your mind, and your body will thank you for it later.

Beach day: plan your ideal beach day and don’t let anybody stop you from going. For those who live far away from the beach, plan it anyway, you’ll see, you will get there in the end.

Keep positive: always view life with a glass half full, yes, perhaps you’ve heard it before but have you really lived by these words?

Give up a bad habit: start with one, it could be anything from a bad eating habit to a silly word you tend to inject into a sentence way too much. Does “like” ring a bell?

Pampering: we all have our favorite pampering moments; this does not have to be an expensive deal, but as long as we remember to do those extra bits for ourselves, then we learn to slow down and breathe.

Read a book: don’t keep putting off that book that is resting comfortably right next to your bed in favor of a magazine or a television show. Sure, enjoy TV or a magazine, but always make sure to read a new release, the knowledge you gain from a book is incomparable to anything else. Reading is growing.

Declutter your hardware: As business women who heavily rely on our computers and all other technology, we know that when something goes wrong, then everything comes to a halt. Start by decluttering your computer and preventing it from slowing down. Start deleting unnecessary files from your desktop and your life will run much smoother.

Maintain good relations with family: visit your parents, call them if you’re far away. Life is too short to put any of this off, and knowing that you have a good familial framework is comforting, always.

Change your look: some of us feel comfortable with the same hair, same overall look for years, but it’s nice to sometimes change things around.

Speak your mind: but be kind, we’re firm believers in being truthful to ourselves and to others. Bottling things inside only makes things worse. It’s better to let someone know that you disagree, but do so kindly. There’s nothing wrong with two opinions.

Cooking something, anything: learn to cook something new and if you don’t know how to cook at all, certainly take the opportunity to learn at least one item for every meal of the day. Who knows it may become a regular thing, but if not, heck at least you’ll be able to make something.

Bikini body: keep that bikini body in check simply by putting on your bathing suit every couple of weeks. It’s not enough to look at our blog, you have to actually wear your bikini for this to work. It’s easy to forget about your weight during winter when you are layered with loose clothing. Try it on, look in the mirror, see whether you like what you see.
