Acai bowls are a wonderful, nutritious way to start your day and an opportunity to get creative with your breakfast. Also, it is not as time consuming as you may think. Acai berries are a South American superfood rich in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals; the kind of nutrients that we at A Bikini A Day love to consume in order to maintain good health as well as a bikini ready body!


1 Sambazon Acai Smoothie Pack (available at various stores such as Whole Foods and Costco, try to look for the no sugar added variety)

1 frozen banana

1 cup frozen berries

1 cup almond milk or coconut water (choose your favorite nut milk)

1 tbs chia seeds

Dash of cinnamon

Vanilla protein powder (optional; good if this is a post workout meal)

Spinach or kale (optional; we promise you can’t taste the greens!)

Add all ingredients into blender and blend until smooth. It should be thick enough that you must eat it with a spoon. You can continue to add liquid until it has reached your desired consistency.

Next, add your toppings. This is where the fun comes in! We love to add our favorite granola, Purely Elizabeth, some fresh fruit and unsweetened coconut. Other topping ideas include dark chocolate chips, goji berries, hemp seeds, honey, peanut/almond butter… The possibilities are endless!
