We are proud to announce that the 2015 winner of BIKINI OF THE YEAR is this white mermaid bikini brought to you by Wildfox X Nic Del Mar! The perfect fuse between two of our favorites- California based brand Wildfox & Miami based retailer Nic Del Mar, have turned our mermaid dreams into reality. When Wildfox first came out with this design in an adorable pastel color we were amazed but when we saw the white our jaws literally DROPPED! The first time we ever laid eyes on this suit we were in love and since then have known that it would be hard to beat.

The Mermaid suit top has two gentle ‘shell’ cups that rest beautifully on the chest. The top is equip with removable straps so it is not only stylish, but also functional. The flattering bottoms have a simple design with double strap sides and a small bit of ruching on the back for the perfect amount of coverage. This suit is so picturesque, it practically screams “take a photo of me” as it’s such a unique and special suit. We are honored that we got to shoot it for A Bikini A Day and are so happy you guys loved it just as much as we do!

The 2014 Bikini of the Year goes to FELLA!

Australian label FELLA has taken the swimwear industry by storm this year with their luxurious Italian fabrics and simplistic approach to design. We have featured FELLA many times on A Bikini A Day and every time, we are in awe of each piece. Designers of FELLA, Christine Tang and Rosie Lffla, draw inspiration from their travels when designing. The creative process behind FELLA begins in Europe, continues in Australia, and is finally constructed in Bali. FELLA is known as a “fusion between lingerie and active-wear” which is why each suit is so comfortable and fits to perfection.

The bikini chosen for Bikini Of The Year is this gorgeous ‘Jacob’ triangle top and ‘Billy’ tie side bottom. The ombre fade from blush to red is majorly sexy and is what initially drew our attention to the winning bikini. The top is equipped with gathered ties on its thicker band making it wearable and majorly comfortable! The bottom also has thick tie sides making the classic triangle cut a little more interesting and comfortable! We are thrilled that you felt equally as passionate about this FELLA suit as we did and we could not be happier to announce it as Bikini Of The Year for 2014! X

The 2013 Bikini Of The Year goes to Beach Riot!

BEACH RIOT is a california beach babe swim brand based out of Costa Mesa, California. For the brand being only about a year old, designer and founder Blonde Bombshell Nicole Hanriot, has succeeded at establishing an amazing brand, something that usually takes designers years to accomplish. Already being sold in stores like Neiman Marcus, Jacks, Nasty Gal, and Revolve Clothing, BEACH RIOT has proved itself to be a line that every bikini babe wants to get their hands on. Previously working as a designer at TAVIK swim, Nicole knew her passions for designing and swimwear needed to go further. Her dreams soon turned into reality when she branched out from Tavik and launched her own line BEACH RIOT in 2013. Nicole’s passions and badass creativity have come together to help create a contemporary chic and surfer girl brand that has made its name in the swim industry!

The bikini chosen for Bikini Of The Year is the stunning Lestrange top paired with the Elva bottom in the beautiful Palm print. An obvious contender for the Bikini Of The Year title because of its perfect fit, gorgeous print, and cheeky bum! The winning bikini came out of a collaboration BEACH RIOT did with another amazing designer Stone Cold Fox. The second we laid eyes on the suit we fell in love! The entire collection is gorgeous but we had a particular eye for the Palm print. Its tropical, cool, classy, girly and relaxing all at the same time! What more could you want when describing a bikini?

We can’t wait to watch the continued future success of BEACH RIOT! With more collaborations coming up in 2014 and the launch of new products in the accessories department BEACH RIOT is definitely one to keep an eye on!
