It’s that time of year again – New Years Eve is coming. Time to start making resolutions and looking at your goals for the year ahead. Wait, does taking more vacations count as a resolution? Before you take on a new year, here’s some inspo your New Years Eve plans.
1. Throw a Themed Dinner Party
What about a Gatsby themed night? Dust off the vintage cocktail glasses and get your feather boa out of the wardrobe. Invite your favourite people and let the conversation flow.
Live near the beach? That’s the BEST setting. Regardless of where it is – good food, good wine and good friends. That’s a pretty epic combination if you ask us.
New Years Eve is not everyones cup of tea. If you’re not in the mood and you’re really tired after too many Christmas party nights, you could be kind to yourself and just head to bed early. You’ll miss all the fuss and wake up in 2018 but no bags under your eyes. Hey, at least you know you won’t have a hangover in the morning, right?!
3. Treat Yo’self
Run a nice bath, get some nice bath oil, a good book and a zillion candles. Simply be present in the moment and enjoy some quiet time. Bliss awaits.
4. Have A Girly Night
Break out the Cosmopolitans like Carrie & co. while you watch Sex And The City reruns with your besties. There’s nothing like a belly laugh with the girls. Plus you won’t have to worry about getting a cab home or finding someone to smooch with at midnight. New Years sorted.
Check out our Cosmo recipe here:
4 parts Citron Vodka
2 parts Cointreau or Triple Sec
2 parts Cranberry Juice
1 part Lime Fresh Juice
5. Skype with a Friend
In the age of technology that we live in today, there’s actually no reason to be alone. Set up a Skype call with your family or friends at the other side of the world and keep each other company. Just don’t forget to sync your time zones. Nobody wants a call at 5am on the other side of the world!
